At the Motability Foundation, we fund, support, research and innovate to help all disabled people make the journeys they choose.
Research, innovation and impact
We provide research grants to better understand the ways transport accessibility needs to change – funding long-term projects like the National Centre for Accessible Transport (ncat).
We also carry out and commission our own research, and work with disabled people, industry, charity partners and policy makers, to keep exploring and developing new ways to make all transport accessible.
To help us achieve even greater impact, we want to build a better understanding of the transport lives of disabled people and the challenges they face.
This helps us to build new programmes and activities informed by rigorous evidence.
We also want to measure the impact our existing and new programmes are having on the lives of our beneficiaries.
Over the past year, we have conducted a review into what the biggest and most current issues are in accessible transport, which we should be addressing through innovation.
We are also beginning to measure the impact of our current and future work.
